Facebook Integration for Head Start Website Keeps Parents Informed and Engaged

Connecting with parents and providing current, easy-to-find information was at the top of Carbon County Child Development Program’s business objectives.

To accomplish this we created a new website and made their Facebook feed a major focus on the site’s home page. We took the Facebook integration a step further by adding Facebook Messenger as a live chat feature. This helps the busy nonprofit staff connect with busy parents and new enrollees, who come to the website looking for more information, in the same channel they normally monitor and use for outreach.

The site development also included adding an online, fillable PDF enrollment application which is easy to fill out and saves staff valuable time processing prospective Head Start participants.
